I liked his game more and more as year went on....really passed JVR as a first line winger prospect and made him expendable.
Good signing if they can get it done.

I agree.. good solid guy.. I think his goal total is going to go up a bit moving forward, he will be a 20+ goal scorer.
Compensation is the same a Lupul, and I think that is about right. |

Voracek is solid. He is still very young and is on the verge of a break out season. This could be a very good deal for both. As of right now he is going to be slotted top play Giroux's wing which should increase his points tremendously. Voracek is also a very reliable defensive player. 4.25 is a good number. |

The salaries that players are getting should almost be considered white noise at this point with how they have escalated, unless it's an obvious overpayment, and this is clearly not. |

so Giroux makes $3.75M/year and Voracek makes $4.25M/year.
Hartnell only makes $4M/year.
without looking it up, I think that makes Voracek the second highest paid forward on the team.

Great signing by the Flyers, love Voracek's game. Hes a crafty forward who can play both ends of the ice. Now that he should get top line minutes I think he is going to have a very good season. |
